ZUZUZU -Slurp the Soba Culture- | Documentary Ep. 01 "The Encounter: From a Single Buckwheat Seed"

Soba begins in the soil.
Mummy-D (RHYMESTER), 716 (MIDICRONICA), and Shogo Kuwaoka (Sobaya de Jokigen) travel to Azumino in Nagano, where snowmelt from the Northern Alps flows through the valley.
At soba farmer Takeo Saito's mill, they encounter "a single buckwheat seed" — and then sow the fields with their own hands.

Slurping: a uniquely Japanese way of eating, where making sound is part of the ritual.
Soba culture begins in the soil and, in the hands of artisans, is transformed into a groove we call "zuzuzu."
"ZUZUZU -Slurp the Soba Culture-" is a documentary series that explores and savors that culture to the fullest. This is Episode 1.
